Tamara Johnson: Immaterial Labor
Callicarpa is proud to present the work of Tamara Johnson for it’s inaugural exhibition Immaterial Labor. Johnson, born in Waco, Texas, graduated in 2007 from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in studio art. In 2012, She obtained an MFA in Sculpture at the Rhode Island School of Design. Her work has recently been exhibited in Boston, New York, and Providence. Johnson’s diverse practice–she produces sculptures, videos, performances and works as a curator–is anchored by Sisyphean action and humorous abjection.
