Call For Entry: BANTAM: How Big is Small

Can an artwork small in size have large implications? When we think of something with a strong presence we generally assume its imposing in scale, enforcing its presence through its literal size. This exhibition explores ways in which small works can operate in big ways, negating our assumptions that a works strength comes through its size.
Artist working in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography and sculpture are encouraged to submit up to 5 works for consideration. Examples must be submitted in jpeg format no bigger than 700 pixels. Artists should include in the submission email the Title, Medium and Size of each work. All work cannot exceed 12 x 12 inches in any direction and must be ready to install. All information should be sent to Callicarpa at callicarpagallery@gmail.com by midnight October 18th. Artists will be notified via email of acceptance by October 22th.
The exhibition opens Monday November 5th at 6 pm.
